I’m starting a new series called the MMA M4M Companion, where I’ll explore the world of mixed martial arts from a homoabnormative perspective.
In the first episode, I break down a recent exchange between UFC commentator and comedian Joe Rogan, former UFC contender and comedian Brendan Schaub, and comedian Bryan Callen on the UC Berkeley riot that caused the cancellation of Milo Yiannopoulos’s event as well as the gay British alt-right provocateur’s appearance on Real Time with Bill Maher. I also propose a progressive, pro bono “free speakers for free speech” speakers’ bureau as a better way to combat offensive speech on university campuses.
